New England Artifact Box Exchange

Introduction Task Process Resources Conclusion Teacher Reference

Introduction

You have been given the responsibility to work as part of a team to investigate and research a New England state and location. With your team, you will prepare a "mystery box" of clues based on 25 suggestions from the guide. Your mystery box will be sent to another 3rd grade class in one of the Melrose elementary schools. The recipients of your box will solve the mystery identity of the location using research and reference skills. Your team will also research a mystery location using a box of clues from another class. As a result of working on this project, you will have a better understanding of the New England region, and its resources.

Task

Your task is to research a clue on a NE state/location using Internet Resources provided below, or books from class, home, or the library. The information and items that you research and collect, will be put into the "mystery box".

Process

After visiting the Internet links, books and other resources, and completing information on the New England state clue sheet, you will write a description of your clue information, and provide the resource you used.
